About Sunwook “Sunny” An, Associate Attorney
Sunwook An has been practicing immigration law and helping clients obtain immigrant visas since 2007 focusing on business and investment immigration matters. She represents many corporations and their employees in matters involving Labor Certification applications, Immigrant Visa Petitions/ Adjustment of Status applications, H-1B specialty occupation cases, L-1 Intracompany transfers, E-2 investor visa applications and citizenship applications.
Ms. An enjoys the practice of immigration law because she is able to assist individuals and families in establishing a life foundation, in the form of legal immigration status, as well as businesses in obtaining qualifying specialized workers. As an immigrant herself, Ms. An understands and empathizes with her clients. She develops a personal relationship with her clients and works closely with clients to develop comprehensive immigration strategies tailored for each situation and advises on short-term and long-term options for the clients.
Ms. An received her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea and her Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC in 2007. During law school, she worked as a law clerk in various different fields, including litigation, immigration law and international law. She was also a student attorney in the Civil Practice Law Clinic.
Ms. An is admitted to the Maryland Bar and District of Columbia Bar and is an active member in American Immigration Lawyers Association and Maryland State Bar Association.
